Regulations

The national “Man of the Trade” award is set up by the National Trade Association as a professional RF award for outstanding achievements and personal contribution to trade promotion in Russia. The award is given annually to leading heads of wholesale and retail trade enterprises as well as officials for contribution to improvement of trade efficiency in Russia.

I General Regulations:

1. The award is given on the decision of advisory council at the National Trade Association
2. The award laureates are presented with a statue in the form of the helmet of Mercury – god of trade and award laureate’s certificate
3. The advisory council consists of heads of well-known trading enterprises, experts employed by state and public trading enterprises, representatives of regional and central mass media
4. The advisory council confirms the number and subjects of award categories, time terms and order of submitted presentations concerning the candidates, determines award laureates
5. Candidates nomination for the award in one or several categories is performed by the federal state authorities, authorities of the subjects of the RF, local authorities as well as labor collectives, public amalgamations, establishments and organizations.
6. Representations and materials concerning the nominees submitted to the advisory council are reviewed at its meetings. Decision on awarding is made by open vote at a meeting the day before the awarding ceremony.
7. The award is presented to laureates on public at a solemn awarding ceremony arranged by the National Trade Association

II Order of candidates nominating for the "Man of the Trade" award

Within the preset time terms the federal state authorities, authorities of the subjects of the RF, local authorities, establishments and organizations provide lists of candidates for the approved categories.
A permanently operating group of the National Trade Association’s employees responsible for the Project collects and processes the incoming information, obtains additional materials and recommendations on proposed candidates
At the meeting of the advisory council convened one month prior to the awarding ceremony lists of "Man of the Trade" categories and laureates are preliminary confirmed.
The day before the ceremony the advisory council by open vote approves candidates for the contest.

III Categories
The National Professional "Man of the Trade" Award is given to:

1. Best managers of trading enterprises and organizations in the following categories:

1.1. Retail Trade in Russia (presented to managers of various retail enterprises for personal contribution to promotion of a trading enterprise in Russia)
1.2. Retail Trade in Regions (presented to managers of various retail enterprises for personal contribution to promotion of a trading enterprise in regions)
1.3. World Trade (presented to managers of western enterprises for personal contribution to promotion of a trading enterprise in Russia)
1.4. High professionalism and introduction of trading technologies
1.5. Wholesale Trade in Russia (presented to managers of wholesale enterprises for personal contribution to promotion of a trading enterprise in Russia)
1.6. Wholesale Trade in Regions (presented to managers of wholesale enterprises for personal contribution to promotion of a trading enterprise in regions)
1.7. Breakthrough in trade

2. Best state managers in the following categories:
2.1 Outstanding personal contribution to trade promotion in Russia
2.2 Outstanding personal contribution to trade promotion in RF regions

3. Best mass media specialists:
3.1. High professionalism and popularization through mass media of experience accumulated by leading managers of trading enterprises in Russia
