"Brand of the Year"

“Brand of the Year” award is given out at a special ceremony to top rankers of the final rating which lists most popular (best selling) commodities in Russian Federation. The major objective of the annual award is to support domestic manufacturers.

The anniversary fifth “Brand of the Year” awarding ceremony will take place on November 25, 2003 in Moscow.

Over 700 guests are invited to witness the “Brand of the Year” awarding ceremony including representatives of Russian business-elite – political figures, general directors, top managers of manufacturing, wholesale and retail trading enterprises.

"Brand of the Year" award laureates are named following the results of monthly surveys, conducted by survey agency of all-Russian “Trade News” magazine.
The national "Brand of the Year" award is given to brands most popular with consumers and available in stocks of goods of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Tver, Nizhni Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Samara, Arkhangelsk, Khabarovsk, Omsk and other Russian cities.

The "Brand of the Year" awarding ceremony is a solemn, colorful and brightly decorated show with a scenario similar to that of the “Oscar” awarding ceremony and becomes a prominent event in the business and cultural life of the country. It is attended by representatives of authorities, Russian business-elite (presidents and general directors of manufacturing, wholesale and retail trading companies) and variety stars.

The concert part of previous ceremonies included distinguished Russian variety, theater and film performers: Larisa Dolina, Alexander Buinov, Oleg Gazmanov, Lolita Milyavskaya, Anastasiya, Igor Nikolaev, Dmitry Malikov, Jasmin, Irina Ponarovskaya, Marina Khlebnikova, Shura, pop-groups “Lube”, “Strelki”, “Litsey”, cabaret-duet “Academy”, “Premier-Ministr”, actors Alexander Pankratov-Tcherniy, Alexander Belyavskiy, Vera Vasilyeva, actors screening in serials “Brigada”, “Salon Krasoty”, “Kamenskaya” and others.

Television broadcast of the ceremony aroused much interest of the wide audience all over the Russian Federation.
